Email Opens

Email Opens counts the total number of times an email is opened by all recipients, including multiple opens by the same person.

Email Reply Rate

Email Reply Rate measures the percentage of sent emails that generate a reply. This metric is crucial for assessing the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns, customer engagement, or team communication efforts. Higher reply rates typically signify that the content of the email is resonating with the audience, prompting them to engage in the conversation. However, it's important to keep in mind that various factors can influence Email Reply Rate, including the quality of the email content, the subject line, and the relevance to the recipient.

Email Unsubscribe Rate

Email Unsubscribe Rate is the percentage of email recipients who opt out of a mailing list after receiving a campaign email, measured against total emails delivered. It signals how well your content, frequency, and targeting match subscriber expectations. A rising rate can damage sender reputation and reduce inbox placement over time.

Email Unsubscribes

Email Unsubscribes is the count of recipients who opt out of your email list over a defined time period. It measures list health, content relevance, and the effectiveness of your email communications.

Emails Bounced

Emails Bounced is the count of emails that were not successfully delivered to recipients' inboxes, recorded as Non-Delivery Receipts from email servers. Bounces are categorized as hard (permanent failure), soft (temporary failure), or pending (awaiting retry).

Emails Delivered

Emails Delivered is the total number of emails successfully delivered to recipients' inboxes, excluding bounces and unsubscribed contacts. It is the starting point for calculating delivery rate and evaluating list health.

Emails Opened

Emails Opened is the count of unique recipients who opened a specific email campaign. Because every downstream action — clicks, replies, conversions — depends on the email being opened first, this metric sets the ceiling for campaign performance.

Emails Sent

Emails Sent is the total number of contacts who received your email in a given send. The count excludes previous hard bounces and unsubscribes. Depending on your email platform, it may also exclude contacts flagged for chronic low engagement.

Engaged Sessions Per User

This metric is the average count of engaged sessions per active user. It's calculated by taking the total number of engaged sessions and dividing it by the total number of active users for a given period. Engaged Sessions Per User reveals the depth of user engagement with your website or app by measuring how many quality sessions each active user generates on average. A higher ratio indicates that users are returning for multiple engaged visits, suggesting strong content value, user experience, or brand loyalty. This metric helps distinguish between sites that attract many one-time visitors versus those that build lasting relationships with their audience.

Goal Completions

Goal conversions represent the successful completion of predefined actions that align with your business objectives and indicate meaningful user engagement with your website or digital platform. Unlike simple page views or clicks, goal conversions measure outcomes that directly contribute to your business success, such as form submissions, product purchases, newsletter sign-ups, or content downloads. Understanding goal conversions is essential for evaluating the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns, website design, and overall digital strategy.

Hits

Specific to Google Analytics, a Hit counts common interactions, such as page tracking, event tracking, and e-commerce tracking. Hits allow marketers to extend beyond Pageviews and define their own rules.

MQL to SQL Conversion Rate

MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead) to SQL (Sales Qualified Lead) conversion rate is the percentage of MQLs that are converted to an SQL. An MQL is a lead that marketing believes meets the criteria of a qualified prospect, and an SQL is a lead that sales has independently qualified and believes meets the criteria of a qualified prospect.
