Natural Rate of Growth
Natural Rate of Growth measures the speed at which your company grows, purely based on organic sources of growth. This includes organic signups and incremental recurring revenue started in product without sales involvement.
Net Annual Recurring Revenue Added
Net Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) Added measures the net change in ARR during a period by combining all sources of ARR growth (new customers and expansion) and all sources of ARR contraction (churn and downgrades). This metric provides a comprehensive view of revenue momentum and reveals which business functions are driving growth or creating drag.
Net Cash Flow
Net Cash Flow is the difference between all cash inflows and all cash outflows for a given period, showing whether a business generated or consumed cash.
Net Present Value
Net Present Value is the difference between the present value of cash inflows and the present value of cash outflows over a set period. It is used to determine whether an investment or project will generate more value than it costs.
New Accounts
New Accounts is the total count of new accounts created and includes free and paid accounts. This particular metric refers to new accounts you create as a business with a payment processing platform such as Stripe.
Operating Expenses
Operating expenses (OPEX) are the costs a business incurs through normal operations that are not directly tied to producing goods or services. Per QuickBooks, OPEX represents the Expenses section on the Profit & Loss statement, excluding cost of goods sold (COGS) and other expenses. Common examples include sales and marketing costs, administrative salaries, and research and development expenditures.
Opportunity Win Rate
Opportunity Win Rate measures your sales team's effectiveness at converting qualified opportunities into closed-won deals. It's calculated by dividing the total number of won opportunities by the total number of opportunities that reached a final decision (won plus lost), expressed as a percentage. This metric reveals how competitive and skilled your sales organisation is at the moment of truth—when prospects are making buying decisions.
Payment Dispute Rate
Payment Dispute Rate is the percentage of total successful payments that result in a dispute within the same period. Disputed payments, also called chargebacks, are initiated by the cardholder's bank and typically carry a processing fee for the merchant.
Payment Refund Rate
Payment Refund Rate is the percentage of successful payments that are refunded within a given time period. While refunds and chargebacks both result in money being returned to the customer, they are fundamentally different: refunds are voluntary and merchant-initiated, whereas chargebacks are involuntary, initiated by the customer’s bank, and typically incur additional fees and risk penalties.
Payouts
Payouts are the funds a payment processing platform transfers to your bank account after collecting customer payments on your behalf. The deposited amount reflects gross sales minus processor fees, refunds, and chargebacks, delivered on a schedule you configure.
People from Underrepresented Minority Groups in the Team
People from Underrepresented Minority Groups in the Team measures the percentage of team members who belong to groups underrepresented relative to their share of the general population. It is used as a diversity and inclusion metric across HR, leadership, and organizational strategy.
Product Qualified Leads
Product Qualified Leads (PQL) measures the quality of potential customers by classifying them according to their actions and usage within the product platform. Certain actions in the scope of the product that indicate high intention to purchase are weighted higher and used to classify leads as PQLs.
