Refunded Charges Count

Refunded Charges Count is the total number of individual refund transactions processed back to customers within a given period.

Renewal Rate

Renewal rate is the percentage of customers who renew their subscription within a defined invoicing cohort, measured against the total customers up for renewal in that period. It tracks churn and retention at the cohort level rather than against total customer count, making early trends easier to spot.

Requester Wait Time

Requester Wait Time is the total combined time a ticket spends in the new, open, and on-hold statuses, measured until the ticket reaches a pending, solved, or closed status. It excludes pending time, which is when the ticket is waiting on the requester to reply, making it a direct measure of support team responsiveness rather than total ticket lifespan.

Return on Ad Spend

Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) is a marketing metric that quantifies the total revenue generated for every dollar spent on advertising. In other words, ROAS measures the effectiveness of your advertising efforts by comparing total ad spend on campaigns to the revenue from those campaigns.

Return on Incremental Invested Capital

Return on Incremental Invested Capital (ROIIC) is an efficiency metric that measures the change in net operating profit after tax as a percentage of the change in invested capital from a prior period. It isolates the productivity of new investment, making it a sharper tool for evaluating whether growth spending is creating value.

Return on Invested Capital

Return on Invested Capital is a profitability metric that measures how efficiently a company generates profit from its deployed capital. It is calculated by dividing Net Operating Profit After Tax (NOPAT) by invested capital and expressed as a percentage.

SaaS Magic Number

The SaaS Magic Number is a ratio showing yearly recurring revenue growth gained for every sales and marketing dollar spent. It indicates the level of operational efficiency of a company, as well as the sustainability of sales and marketing expenditure.

SaaS Quick Ratio

SaaS Quick Ratio measures how efficiently a SaaS company grows Monthly Recurring Revenue by comparing revenue gained through new customers and expansions against revenue lost through churn and downgrades.

Sales Cycle Length

Sales Cycle Length is the count of the number of days or months it takes on average to close a deal. This metric can be helpful when creating sales forecasts, measuring sales efficiency, and speaking with investors. It is often referred to as the Average Deal Cycle and is usually expressed in months.

Search Impression Share

Search Impression Share (SIS) is the percentage of impressions an ad campaign, ad group, or keyword wins out of the total impressions it was eligible to receive. Budget, keyword selection, audience targeting, region, and scheduling all affect eligibility.

Search Lost Impression Share (Budget)

Search Lost Impression Share (Budget) is the percentage of Search Impression Share lost out of the total eligible impressions, due to campaign budget. It is generally measured at the campaign level on digital advertising platforms.

Search Lost Impression Share (Rank)

Search Lost Impression Share (Rank) is the percentage of search impression share lost due to Ad Rank, which depends on factors such as relevant keywords, ad quality, and bid amount.
