Charges
Charges represent the total amount of customer payments processed through your payment gateway, net of refunds, disputes, and reversals. Depending on the payment platform, Charges may be reported before or after processing fees; in analytics and finance contexts, this metric is often aligned with net charges collected rather than gross payment volume. Charges reflect the actual value of customer payments successfully processed and retained through a payment system.
Charges Count
Changes Count measures the total number of Charges you have made to your customers. Use this metric to have an overall view of how many payments you have accepted from your customers for the products or services you sold.
Click To Open Rate
Click To Open Rate (CTOR) is the percentage of unique clicks and unique opens for your email campaign. It is an effective measure of how compelling your content is relative to the quality of your target list. In other words, ensuring you have emailed the right audience and have presented them with a compelling call to action will increase your CTOR.
Contact to Customer Conversion Rate
Contact to Customer Conversion Rate is the percentage of contacts that have converted to sales. Contacts can be past or existing customers, or qualified leads. This is an important metric to track in the sales funnel because it quantifies how efficiently the sales process secures and grows existing customer relationships.
Contacts
Contacts are individual people that your business has an identified, ongoing relationship with, typically stored in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and often associated with an account or company. In CRMs such as HubSpot and Salesforce, Contacts usually represent people who have been qualified beyond an initial expression of interest and may be associated with opportunities, customers, or former customers. Depending on your CRM configuration, Leads may exist separately or be converted into Contacts once qualification criteria are met.
Content Engagement
For content and social media marketers, Content Engagement may be one of the most important ways to know what is working and how to improve your craft. Content Engagement measures all engagements resulting from content generated in a social media account including shares, reactions (e.g., likes), comments, and re-tweets. These metrics are considered the most important when looking at the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns and overall strategy
Conversions
Conversions represent the total number of meaningful actions (conversion events) that users take on your website or application during a specific time period. These are meaningful interactions that align with your business objectives—such as purchases, sign-ups, or requests for consultation—and indicate that a visitor has moved from passive browsing to active engagement with your brand. Think of conversions as the digital equivalent of a customer walking into your physical store and taking a desired action—whether that's making a purchase, signing up for information, or requesting a consultation.
Cost per Activated Lead
Cost per Activated Lead measures the costs involved in generating one activated lead. An activated lead is a potential customer who demonstrates intention to purchase your product.
Cost Per Inline Link Click
Cost Per Inline Link Click is the average amount of money spent per click on links contained in advertisements. It is calculated by dividing the total amount of money spent on ads by the total number of clicks on links within the ads and is a variation of Cost Per Click (CPC).
Cost Per Inline Post Engagement
Cost Per Inline Post Engagement is the average cost of each inline engagement with an advertisement on social media. It is calculated by dividing the total amount of money spent on ads by the total number of engagements with the ads and is a variation of Cost Per Click (CPC).
Cost Per Lead
Cost per Lead (CPL) is the average amount spent on acquiring a new lead, inclusive of all marketing channels such as paid advertising, social media campaigns, and content marketing. Cost per Lead (CPL) is a crucial metric that helps businesses measure their marketing campaigns' effectiveness in generating leads. CPL is calculated by dividing the total cost of acquiring new leads by the number of leads generated. This metric is particularly valuable for businesses that want to optimize their marketing spend to maximize return on investment (ROI). Marketing teams can segment CPL by channel. For instance, they may focus on paid advertising and consider only the inputs relating to paid ad costs and leads generated. It's important to always include the right costs in your equation, especially if salaries, creatives, or equipment are the main drivers.
Cost Per Pixel
Cost Per Pixel (CPP) is the average cost of conversions generated through tracking pixels in paid ad campaigns. A tracking pixel is a small piece of code embedded in an ad or webpage that records user behaviour, enabling advertisers to retarget users and measure conversion efficiency.
